Welcome!

 This is the Festive Witch blog. Most know me as the Questing Bard. Here I'll be known as the Festive Witch. I am not a party person, but I am a festive person. What does that mean? This means I am not into partying for the sake of partying like night clubs, drinks, and loud music. I am someone who enjoys celebrating the many events that come and go in our lives whether they be a holiday, birthday, or an afternoon tea setting with friends with unique and vibrant themes.

Theming is my thing and creative juice that comes with it. Now, upfront I will make this very clear - I am not a party planner or some interior designer or decorator. I am just a creative person, who loves to primarily put her creativity to paper and pen, but I also love the idea of implementing these ideas in festive ways.

Here on this blog, I will share creative ideas with budget, theme, event, number of guests, and location in mind. Now, my blog will primarily focus on themes that are mostly near and dear like books, shows, and films that take us away into magical worlds. In the end, who wouldn't want to feel like their in some lavish castle of a magical land or in a quaint cottage in an enchanted forest.

My focus will primarily be here. I will share my ideas for decorations, menu, and fun activities. There will be links, images, and even recipes. Some of the recipes and creative ideas will come from someone else. If this is the case I will provide them with the necessary credit and share the links. If they are mine, then I will add them here with pictures and instructions.

Keep in mind that these are my ideas. Please feel free to share your own ideas or things you've done to celebrate whatever holiday or event.

With all this out of the way, I will share with you first themed topic - Freaky Friday. In honor of the original film and the upcoming sequel soon to be in theaters, I will share my ideas for an ideal Freaky Friday movie night. I might even share a recipe in the following week, and then after, gather ideas to celebrate the sequel Freakier Friday with its own unique menu and decor. So, stay tuned!
