Freaky Friday Watch Party Ideas!
In honor of Freakier Friday being released in theaters today, I've decided to sprinkle some of my creative ideas here, and also what I found through my hunt through the web.
Food is relatively easy. The film centers mostly on the Chinese fortune cookie having the magic to make both mother and daughter, Tess and Anna, switch bodies for a day. The magic occurred when they visited the Chinese restaurant The House of Chang.
Interestingly enough, P.F. Chang's is doing a limited time menu from now till September 2nd, 2025 in celebration of Freaky Friday and its upcoming sequel. It would be a great move saving time on getting ingredients and cooking the meal yourself, or you could certainly enjoy a festive meal here before hitting the theaters to watch the sequel. The details are in the link below.

As for decor for a movie watch or a birthday or whatever, there isn't much, sadly. Don't fret. If you wish to do a movie watch, I found these cool purple striped popcorn buckets on Etsy. It is $5.50 for a twelve pack. Now Etsy delivery and shipping may take some additional charges and time. So, it would be best to plan accordingly with these.

So, why the purple? Well, I looked at the movie posters and title cards. The back often displays a mix of striped purple and green. The purple striped popcorn bucket would be rather swell, here. Keeping the concept of purple and green in mind, I did find some party streamers on Amazon. This could be great to bring the party up a notch, or if it is a birthday, or something.
I know these say Halloween on them, but they don't have anything Halloween specific. The same goes for all the Wicked products. While many of the Wicked stuff have witch's hats and stuff, there are plenty that don't have it. I would try leaning towards to striped or solid items rather than the all the sparkly designs. That way it will feel more Freaky Friday than Wicked.
Upon reflection, it isn't a bad start here. However, I feel the real vibe of Freaky Friday is missing, aside from colors and Chinese food. Then I remembered that Anna had been trying to start an official band with her friends in her garage called Pink Slip. So, I dug into Pink Slip items. Then I stumbled upon an Etsy page full of Pink Slip and Freaky Friday stuff. I've attached the link below and you can truly get what you wish, whether for a fancy, posh themed party, a simple, fun movie watch, or hitting the theaters with a cool shirt. The vibe is up to you here.

Overall, it isn't much, but it is a fine start. Do you have some other interesting ideas? What did you do for your party or gathering? Or at least how you decided to celebrate a night out to watch Freakier Friday?
Next week - Festive Witch's Freaky Friday Menu! (And perhaps a recipe!)
